Where can I buy citric acid and sodium bicarbonate?
Sodium bicarbonate is also called baking soda and can be found in the supermarket. Citric acid can be found in food stores, as it is used in foods. It can also be found on eBay.
Are there any parts that you have to retrieve? And does the lever fly off by itself?
Only the detonator needs to be retrieved. The lever stays connected to the detonator.
Are the grenade shells biodegradable?
No, they are not.
Is it better to wear tactical gloves when using this grenade?
Yes, it is. It will protect your hand(s) when the grenade goes off, while holding it.
Does it hurt when the grenade goes off near/next to me?
Yes it does, but only if it is on your body. Like you’re holding the grenade in your hand. But from my own experience; it hurts less than being hit by a BB.
Can I use lemon juice instead of citric acid?
No, lemon juice cannot be used. This has been tested and it does not work.
How does the CidaSoft airsoft hand grenade work?
Citric acid, mixed with water and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) are being kept separate. When the grenade is being used the baking soda is released and CO2 forms inside the bottle. The bottle bursts when the pressure becomes too high.
Is it reusable?
The detonator is reusable. The bottle is not reusable.
